Public Services

 

Water Service

Water service is provided Jonestown Water Supply Corporation, a member-owned, non-profit company that is recognized as a Texas Superior water utility. They have won numerous awards for having the best tasting water in Texas. For location, hours, and information about current water use restrictions, visit www.jonestownwsc.org.

 

Electric Provider

Electric service is provided by Pedernales Electric Cooperative, a cooperative with about 210,000 members that serve areas to the west of Austin. The local office is located on FM 1431 near Anderson Mill Road.

When digging 16 inches or deeper, state law requires that you
call 811 at least 48 hours in advance to locate underground electric lines.

 

Fire and Emergency Services

Fire emergency services are staffed by Travis County Emergency Services District #1

Emergency medical services are provided by ESD #7, an ESD #1 overlay district.

There are two stations within five miles of North Rim,
one in Jonestown and one at the end of Trails End
Road.
Cedar Park stations are dispatched as needed.

Cable TV and Internet Providers

Cable TV and internet service is provided by SpectrumAT&T may also service some parts of the neighborhood.

Waste Water Management
All lots in North Rim do not have access to municiple waste water and therefore require individual septic systems.

Solid Waste, Recycling, and Brush Removal

Individual property owners can contract with either Al Clawson Waste Disposal Inc. or Waste Management Inc. Neither offers recyclable pick-up.

 

Brush and tree limbs may be taken to Austin Wood Recycling, located at 3875 E. Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Park.

 

USPS 

Neighborhood mail is distributed from the Leander Post Office located at 801 S. Highway 183. Package pickup is provided from this location as well.

The
Cedar Park Post Office located at 500 E Whitestone Blvd. is closer, although it does not distribute residential mail for the North Rim subdivision.
